Family Treatment
FAMILY AND FRIEND'S TREATMENT AT
Serenity Ranch offers a five-day intensive for families and friends of alcoholics and addicts.
We believe addiction is a family illness, and should be treated as such. This program is integrated into our treatment stream provided to drug addicts and alcoholics, with customized work and resources on co-dependency.
Programming is from 9:00am-4:30pm daily and involves intensive group therapy, informative videos on addiction from a variety of experts followed up by handouts and discussion. Access to one-on-one counseling is also available. Evenings consist of twelve-step meetings on and off-site, with all transportation provided. Anyone in the family and friend’s program has separate programming for Wednesday afternoon. This includes a look at co-dependency, boundaries, enabling, relationship coaching, family dynamics, and intervention role-play.
As a 12-Step based foundation, we thoroughly explore Step One, honesty, the disease concept of addiction and foundations of the Al-Anon program.
Family and friends are asked to pursue treatment at their convenience. If they have loved ones with us getting help, we ask for supporters to come in their final week, or after they have graduated, so no one's care is compromised.
We have unlimited intake starting Sunday evenings and ending the following Friday night, for a five day stay. The cost is $240/day, for a total of $1200. This includes accommodation in a private dorm, all meals, unlimited access to our on-site gym facility, transportation to outings, access to one-on-one counseling and facilitation of the program.
Family and friends are expected to adhere to the same rules and guidelines as all participants and can find lists of what to bring and what not to bring on our website at www.serenityranch.ca
Payment arrangements must be authorized before arrival with our intake worker. The option to pursue treatment for longer than five days can be pre-arranged, provided it is approved with management well in advance.
We provide family and friend’s treatment for adults, and are expecting an overwhelming response from concerned family members and friends that believe in recovery. It is an exciting recovery that will effectively change the world, one family at a time.
