Deon Smit is  the Executive Director of Serenity Ranch.

Deon holds a Degree in Forensic Psychology and is a former member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy as well as the Faculty of Health Care Counsellors and Psychotherapists.

Deon is experienced in the delivery of therapeutic models such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI),Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and Harm reduction practices. He gained most of his professional experience in the addiction field in the United Kingdom  managing, delivering and developing treatment services in England. He is also an experienced  trainer in various treatment models and mental health.

Deon is a member of the Federation of Drug and Alcohol Professionals
