alcoholism depressionWe welcome you to our comprehensive and trusted treatment program of discovery and recovery from addiction to drugs and alcohol. We believe that addictions and substance abuse are often just the symptoms, therefore we encourage deep examination of each person's past and present. The wonder of it all is that treatment is inspiring change and new, healthy ways of living.


12 Step Program (6 weeks)

Addiction Treatment 6 weeks

A fully structured six-week program for men and women that also encourages family involvement and counseling when possible.
  • One on One Counseling
  • Group Participation
  • Education
  • Diet
  • Physical Fitness
  • Introduction to the 12 Steps through classroom work
  • 6 AA/NA meetings a week
  • In-depth work on the first eight steps, and information on the remaining four steps
  • Professional and licensed addictions counseling staff
  • Many staff also with recovery journeys, supporting from a place of knowing
  • A safe and confidential environment in the picturesque Alberta countryside
  • We strongly suggest family education and preparation by attending Al-Anon or Nar-Anon programs in their area

Foundation Program (3 weeks)



Designed for those who have already completed some form of treatment
Upon successfully completing treatment, each person will have done the first three steps, and received information on the remaining nine steps
Participants having completed the Foundation Program have the option to continue with an additional 3 weeks of treatment, completing the  12 Step Program
 

Canadian Oilfield Addictions Rehabilitation (C.O.A.R.)

Serenity Ranch developed a treatment program specifically for the oil worker. The program offers a unique look at addiction in the Oil industry, and how to remain clean and sober while working in remote locations for long periods of time. The program is 6 weeks in length, but can be delivered one week at a time on days off.

Family Program (One Week)


Famaly Addiction Program
To provide more understanding on the illness of addiction, we are now offering week-long family/friends therapy.

At treatment, family and friends will learn how to detach with love from the addict/alcoholic. By joining into the classroom and group setting alongside other addicts/alcoholics and supporters, they will gain knowledge on addiction and how to cope with it.
Family and Friends Programming includes:

One-week residential stay at our site, including all meals
  • Group exercises and sharing
  • Learning and educational resources custom-tailored to addiction and co-dependency
  • Familiarizing participants with 12-Step recovery and the Al-Anon program
  • In-depth look at addiction and co-dependency through video resources, handouts, and discussions
  • Journaling
  • Access to trained counselors for one-on-one support
