RECOVERY WHILE YOU’RE ON THE JOB

Not only can the participant receive residential treatment while they are working, by taking the program in one week increments, but the program also teaches how to remain strong and continue to grow while they are on the job site.

RELAPSE PREVENTION

The program has a strong relapse prevention component. The C.O.A.R. program with the participant, develops a proactive plan to help the participant stay clean and sober when they leave. This module includes; support groups, online meetings via www.serenityranch.ca and coping tools to know what to do when they are challenged by their addiction.

UNRINALYSIS/DRUG SCREENING

Urinalysis and drug screening are also conducted when the participant arrives. This is ‘key’ in keeping the participant on track and accountable.

PROGRESS REPORTING

The C.O.A.R program provides weekly progress reporting to the Oil Company and or to the participant. This includes weekly participation as well as a complete summary report on how they are progressing.

SERENITY RANCH

Serenity Ranch at Central Alberta Recovery Centre is a professional, highly structured alcohol and drug treatment facility located in Central Alberta. The Centre started in the summer of 2006 and has completed more than 214 participants through the program. The program was developed by recovered alcoholics and addicts and is currently facilitated by recovered addicts and alcoholics, because of this; the Centre has a very high success rate.

Serenity Ranch has now developed a treatment program specifically for the Oil worker. The program offers a unique look at addiction in the Oil industry and how to remain clean and sober while working in remote locations for long periods of time. The program is 6 weeks in length, but can be delivered in 1 week increments. Ideal for the worker on their week off from the oil field and removes the threat of relapse by providing a safe structured program to gain the tools of recovery.

FAMILY SUPPORT PROGRAM

Very often the family of the addict/alcoholic suffers immense hardship as result of the addiction. Serenity Ranch provides a family support meeting to educate and begin the healing process with the family of the participant. As well access to online support meetings.

STRESS/MONEY MANAGEMENT

Working in the Oil Industry can be challenging. The C.O.A.R. program provides in-depth tools on how to deal with stress in the work place and on how to remain clean and sober. The program also has a finance component to help the participant deal with money management in the Oil industry.

FITNESS AND NUTRITION

The program offers well balanced meals coupled with a professional trainer and nutrition coach. The Centre provides a weight facility as well as a cardio centre. The C.O.A.R program also trains the participant on how they can do a work out in a 10 x 12 bedroom, if the camp or hotel they are

TOOLS TO HELP YOU SUCCEED

The program provides the participant with professional addiction (alcohol and drugs) treatment by professional certified addiction counselors. Working in the Oil industry is unique in ‘work detail’ as well as environment. Battling addiction can be challenging in this environment and the C.O.A.R. program addresses these obstacles and teaches tools and techniques on how to better manage addiction.

All C.O.A.R. participants are to arrive by 5:00pm on Sunday evening and are expected to stay until 4:30pm Friday.
